Where Divario Is
Divario is a master-planned community on the west side of St. George, in the Green Valley area west of Sunbrook Golf Club, reached from Sunbrook Drive via Divario Canyon Drive. Ground was broken in June 2019, and the community is being built out in phases. The developer describes it as roughly 730 acres, with more than 200 acres of open space planned to be dedicated to the city.
Trails and Open Space
Divario's defining feature is its location among the canyons long used by local mountain bikers, hikers, and climbers, including Gap Wash Canyon and the Bearclaw Poppy trail area. The plan was worked out with the City of St. George, local mountain biking groups, and the BLM to keep trail connectivity, and it borders BLM land on its west side. Cycling events that have used the area, such as the True Grit Epic and Red Rock Rampage, were cited at the groundbreaking as events the plan intended to accommodate. Homes
Divario is organized into villages built by several builders, so floor plans, lot sizes, and HOA arrangements can differ from one village to the next. Because the community is still under construction, expect nearby building activity for some time.
Schools and Access
Washington County School District assigns schools by address, and boundaries change as new schools open. Confirm the current elementary, intermediate, middle, and high school for a specific home with the district's boundary tool before you rely on it. Downtown St. George is roughly ten minutes away via Sunbrook Drive and Bluff Street.
