Where Green Valley Is
Green Valley is a neighborhood on the southwest side of St. George, between Dixie Drive and the red bluffs that separate it from Bloomington. Canyon View Drive runs through the area and ends at the edge of the desert, where pavement gives way to trailheads. The neighborhood sits a few minutes from Sunset Boulevard, Dixie Drive shopping, and the Tonaquint area, and roughly a quarter hour from Snow Canyon State Park via Snow Canyon Parkway.
Trails at Your Door
Green Valley's defining feature is trail access. The Bureau of Land Management lists a trailhead for the Bearclaw Poppy system on Canyon View Drive near the Green Valley Market, and the Green Valley Loop and Gap area are popular with mountain bikers, hikers, and trail runners. The trails cross the BLM's Red Bluff area, which protects the endangered dwarf bear-claw poppy, so riders and hikers are asked to stay on route. Getting on these trails is free, and many residents ride or walk straight from home.
Tonaquint Park and Nature Center along the Santa Clara River is a short drive away for an easier paved walk, and Sunbrook Golf Club, one of the city's public courses, is nearby.

Housing in Green Valley is varied: established single-family subdivisions, townhomes and condos, and resort-style properties that have long served visitors and seasonal residents.
