About Stone Cliff
Stone Cliff is a gated community on an elevated bluff on the southeast side of St. George, above the Virgin River valley. Development began in 1996, and the community has grown gradually since, with custom and semi-custom homes rather than repeated production floor plans. Its setting delivers wide views across the city toward Pine Valley Mountain and the red rock surrounding the valley, with city lights at night from many lots.
The single entrance off Stone Cliff Parkway has a staffed gate, which sets it apart from neighborhoods with keypad-only entry. Stone Cliff is not age-restricted, so you will find families as well as retirees and second-home owners.
Amenities
Stone Cliff's amenity center is reserved for residents and their guests. It includes a clubhouse, pool and spa, a fitness center, and tennis and pickleball courts, along with other recreation such as a children's splash pad. Owners reserve clubhouse space for private events through the HOA.
Homes and Lots
Because nearly every home is custom, the architecture ranges from single-story desert designs to larger two-story contemporary homes, and lots vary in size and view. Earlier phases sit alongside newer construction on remaining hillside parcels, and vacant lots occasionally come to market for buyers who want to build. Position on the bluff and the quality of the view corridor are among the biggest differences between homes.
HOA and Design Review
The Stone Cliff Owners Association governs the community, and exterior changes typically require architectural approval before work begins. Dues support the gate, common-area landscaping, and the amenity center. Confirm current dues, any special assessments, and rental rules directly with the HOA.
Schools and Access
Stone Cliff is in the Washington County School District and has typically been served by the newer schools on the southeast side; confirm the assignment for each address. Stone Cliff Parkway connects to George Washington Boulevard and River Road, with downtown, the regional medical center, and I-15 a short drive away.
