Where Long Valley Is
Long Valley is a master-planned community in the southeast part of Washington City, on the southeast edge of the Washington Fields area and just west of the Sand Hollow recreation area. It sits against a large natural bluff and is reached from the Southern Parkway (SR-7); the builder places it about 10 miles from St. George Regional Airport. Long Valley in Washington County is not the same place as Long Valley in Kane County.
Homes and Character
Long Valley is a single-builder master plan developed by D.R. Horton, which describes it as about 600 acres. It has been built out in phases, one village at a time, including the Skyline townhome village. Home types include single-family homes, cottages, and townhomes, offered in four exterior styles the builder calls Desert Modern, Desert Farmhouse, Desert Scandinavian, and Desert Traditional. The Skyline phase is townhomes zoned for short-term rental; its sales began in February 2025. Because building continues for several more years, expect active construction near many lots.
Amenities and Recreation
Community amenities listed by the builder include a clubhouse, a heated pool and hot tub, pickleball and basketball courts, a splash pad, a dog park, an 18-hole putting course, golf practice nets, playgrounds and "terra park" obstacle courses, a movie lawn, and walking trails. These are built for residents. For public trails and parks planned in the area, check Washington City's current parks and recreation plan. Sand Hollow State Park and the off-road country of Warner Valley are a short drive away.
Schools
Builder and listing data show Horizon Elementary, Fossil Ridge Intermediate, Pine View Middle, and Pine View High for many Long Valley addresses. Washington County School District assigns schools by address, and boundaries change as new schools open. Confirm the current elementary, intermediate, middle, and high school for a specific home with the district's boundary tool before you rely on it.
